Motion Detection Preset Mode Introduction

One of the most unique features of the hemispheric camera KCM-3911 is the Motion Detection Preset mode. By this mode it is possible to let the camera capture and stream out only the region that is currently activated by a moving object. As the object moves around the room, the camera will be able to track the person by switching the view automatically according to the location of the moving object.

The main benefit of such function is to have clear and enlarged overview of the intruders on the NVR live display and save bandwidth and storage by only streaming a specific region of the whole panorama view with much lower bitrate.

Since everything is done by camera itself, the integration with any third party NVR will be really easy - the NVR will just keep receiving the video stream on the same channel just like with conventional cameras, regardless of the changes in the video content as the camera tracks the person.

Basketball Court

The 4-Megapixel hemispheric camera KCM-3911 covers a huge basketball hall while providing important details of the people in the field of view. The floor space is 32 meters wide and 17 meters long. The camera has been installed 3.5 meters from the ground and with 1 meter distance from the white side border of the basketball court area, covering everything within the 180 degree panorama view.

Hemispheric Camera in School Lobby

KCM-3911 Hemispheric Camera mounted on the wall can have the 180-degree overview of everything in front of the camera. This way, one camera can cover the whole lobby.

Thanks to the powerful ISP designed by ACTi, the spherical distorted image is converted into a flat and rectangle-shaped view within the camera with restoring the normal proportions of the objects in the field of view. This way, there is no need for extra processing on remote software side, making KCM-3911 be easily integrated with any VMS.
